Cleo
Cleo is a concept our team developed to address the lack of real-time feedback and visible progress in fitness, identified through 30+ interviews with USC gym-goers.
This inspired Cleo, AR workout glasses designed to provide real-time rep counting, muscle engagement data, and heart rate visualizationâoffering a screen-free, immersive experience. Our project explored how AR could make fitness more intuitive, from concepts to 3D visuals and financial modeling.
Spark
Manual fitness tracking is broken. Over 67% of gym members never go, and 30% of fitness tracker users abandon their devices after just a month. Through over 30 interviews with gym-goers at USC, our team discovered a consistent pain point: people want visible progress, real-time feedback, and motivationâwithout the friction of tracking it themselves.
That insight sparked Cleo, the world's first AR workout glassesâa concept that delivers real-time rep counting, muscle engagement data, and heart rate visualization through an immersive, screenless experience.
Build
Working alongside Andy, Cyrus, Danny, Elle, and Zavion, I led the financial modeling for Cleo's launch strategy, building out the pro forma to project revenue, CAC, and unit economics. I also contributed to the UX and visual design across the marketing funnel, including Facebook ad creatives and user flows.
To visualize the product, we created 3D renders in Blender, helping us explore industrial design, UI integration, and brand identity through high-fidelity mockups.
Launch
Though Cleo hasn't launched, we designed a hypothetical go-to-market plan to simulate early traction. This included a $54 paid media test strategy, modeled to reach over 10,000 users with a projected 4.4% CTR, 5.7% conversion rate, and $2.03 CPLâstrong signals for early interest.
Our launch roadmap also included Kickstarter preparation, MVP development, and forming pilot partnerships with gyms and personal training clinics.
